How to Get Started on Canton: A Wallet Guide for OneSwap Users
If you've been following Canton Network, or you've just heard about OneSwap and want to jump in. This is where you start.
Canton is a privacy enabled blockchain built for institutional-grade finance. It works differently from Ethereum or Solana, which means you can't use just any crypto wallet to interact with apps on the network. You need one that is Canton native.
OneSwap is Canton's most accessible DEX; a permissionless AMM where anyone can swap assets like Canton Coin (CC), USDCx (Circle's Canton-native USDC), and cBTC (wrapped Bitcoin on Canton). To use it, you need a wallet that can hold these assets and sign transactions on the network.
Here's a breakdown of the four wallets that work with OneSwap at the moment, and exactly how to get set up with each one. More wallets to be added soon.
TL;DR
Canton Network has its own blockchain architecture that doesn't work with standard crypto wallets. To trade on OneSwap: Canton's permissionless DEX, you need one of four Canton native wallets:
Loop — web-based, no download, easiest entry point
Console — browser extension + mobile, best security defaults
Nightly — multichain, best if you're already in Web3
Bron — desktop app, strong security, best for Bitcoin holders (BTC → cBTC swaps built in)
Why You need a Canton Native Wallet
Canton is built differently. Its architecture is designed around privacy, composability, and atomic settlement across applications which means wallets need to support Canton's specific two-step transaction model, its asset standard (CIP-56), and its party identity system.
All four wallets in this guide are self-custodial you hold your own private keys, and no third party has access to your assets. They all support Canton Coin (CC) and any asset built on the Canton Coin Standard, including USDCx and cBTC.
1. Loop Wallet
Best for: Anyone who wants to get started immediately, without installing anything.
Loop, built by Five North, is a web-based self-custodial wallet that runs entirely in your browser. No extension, no download it works on any browser, any device.
What makes Loop especially useful is its external party ID system. Your wallet identity connects once and works across every application on Canton, including OneSwap without any reconfiguration. Set it up once, use it everywhere.
How to get started with Loop
Go to https://www.fivenorthdigital.com/products no download or extension required.
Sign up with your email or Google account to request access.
Your Canton address is generated automatically. You can set a display name and build an address book for easier transfers.
Fund your wallet by sending CC or other Canton assets from an exchange.
Head to OneSwap and connect. Loop's external party ID handles the rest.

2. Console Wallet
Best for: Browser and mobile users who want a purpose-built Canton wallet with strong security defaults.
Console Wallet is a self custodial browser extension built from the ground up for Canton. It's also available on iOS and Android, making it one of the most flexible options in the ecosystem.
What sets Console apart is transparency before you sign. Every transaction shows you the full details site, URL, network, message before you approve anything. No blind signing. It also supports passkeys, name based sending via the Canton Name Service, and has built-in warnings for phishing attempts and look alike domains.
How to get started with Console Wallet
Install the Console Wallet extension from the Chrome Web Store, or download the app from the App Store or Google Play.
Enter your email and request access. You can also pre-register at pre.consolewallet.io/?ref=oneswap — approvals typically come within a day or two.
Create your wallet and set up a passkey. Your keys are stored on your device only.
Fund your wallet with CC from a supported exchange: Bybit, Kraken, KuCoin, Gate, or MEXC.
Visit OneSwap, click Connect Wallet, select Console, and approve the connection.

3. Nightly
Best for: Existing Web3 users who want Canton support alongside the other chains they already use.
Nightly is a multichain wallet supporting over 105 blockchains Canton included. If you're already using Nightly on Solana, Ethereum, Sui, Aptos, or Polkadot, Canton is already available to you. No separate setup required.
Available as a browser extension on Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, and on iOS and Android. Security features include Ledger hardware wallet support, biometric authentication, transaction simulation to catch malicious contracts before you sign, and phishing protection.
How to get started with Nightly
Download Nightly from nightly.app available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, iOS, and Android.
Create a new wallet or import an existing one with a seed phrase. Social login is also available.
Open the top right menu and find Canton Network to enable it.

4. Bron Wallet
Best for: Security-focused users and Bitcoin holders who want to bring cBTC into Canton DeFi.
Bron is a non-custodial wallet built with institutional-grade security principles. Rather than a traditional seed phrase, Bron uses MPC (Multi-Party Computation) technology your signing authority is distributed across three independent shards, eliminating single-point-of-failure risk. Authentication options include TouchID, FaceID, and hardware security keys.
Bron is particularly relevant for Bitcoin holders. Through a partnership with BitSafe, Bron users can swap BTC directly to cBTC. It's a natural entry point for Bitcoin-native users who want to trade on OneSwap's CC/cBTC pool.
Note: Canton activation requires the desktop app. A 14-day free trial is available when you sign up.
How to get started with Bron
Download the Bron desktop app from bron.org available for macOS and Windows.
Create your account. Bron uses MPC technology so there's no seed phrase. Set up biometric authentication (TouchID or FaceID) during onboarding.
Activate Canton within the desktop app settings.
Fund your wallet with CC. If you hold Bitcoin, use BronSwaps to convert BTC → cBTC for trading on Canton.
Connect to OneSwap. The CC/cBTC pool makes Bron a natural fit for Bitcoin-native users.

A Few Things To Know Before You Connect
You need CC for gas. Canton Coin is used to pay transaction fees on the network. Before you try to swap, make sure you have CC in your wallet. You can get it from Bybit, Kraken, KuCoin, Gate, or MEXC.
Keep your credentials safe. All four wallets are self-custodial — there's no support team that can recover your access if you lose your login. Back up your seed phrase, passkey recovery, or MPC arrangement depending on your wallet. Treat it like cash.
Know the launch pools. OneSwap launches with two pools: CC/USDCx and CC/cBTC. USDCx is Circle's Canton-native USDC — Circle joined Canton as a Super Validator alongside the USDCx launch. cBTC is wrapped Bitcoin on Canton.
